The first Lotus SUV finally reveals all its details. Under the name of lotus eletrethe British firm now controlled by the Chinese giant Geely presents us with its most ambitious project, an almighty electric SUV that aims to become the benchmark in its category for performance, technology and driving dynamics. Being one of the riskiest movements of the constructor, the time has finally come to meet all the facts and curiosities about the Lotus Eletre.
The first thing we must be clear about the Lotus Eletre is that it is an electric SUV with clear sports aspirations, being developed on a specific platform, but to a certain extent related to the large electric SUVs from Polestar and Volvo. The Lotus Eletre has a length of 5,103 mm, a width of 2,231 mm (including mirrors), a height of 1,636 mm and a wheelbase of 3,019 mm. On the other hand, taking into account that we are talking about an SUV, ground clearance will be between 187 and 194 mm depending on the rim size installed, which can be 20, 22 or 23 inches.
The Lotus Eletre intends to put Urus, DBX and Purosangue on the ropes
The interior of the Lotus Eletre can be configured in a 4 or 5 seat versionDepending on this specification, we will also have a different capacity for the rear trunk, a trunk that can offer 611 liters (4 seats) or 688 liters (5 seats). If we opt for the 5-seat version, we will also have the possibility of folding down the rear seatbacks, thus achieving up to 1,532 liters.
The range of the Lotus Eletre will be articulated around 3 different versionsalthough all of them have a double electric motor – a shaft drive – and a lithium-ion battery with 112 kWh capacity. In this way, the first two versions are called “Eletre” and “Eletre S” developing a maximum power of 612 CV, a maximum torque of 710 Nm and a range of up to 600 km under the WLTP homologation cycle. These versions will also be able to do the 0-100 km/h in less than 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 258 km/h.
The most powerful and sporty version of this electric SUV will be called Lotus Eletre Rhaving 918 CV of maximum power, a torque of 985 Nm and a WLTP autonomy of 490 Km. With this configuration the Eletre R will be able to do the 0-100 km/h in 2.95 seconds and reach a top speed of 265 km/h. This version will also have a specific aesthetic, as well as its own chassis tuning that includes active stabilizers, four-wheel steering, lowered suspension height, torque vector control and a specific driving mode for the circuit (Track).
Lotus Eletre can be recharged at powers of up to 22 kW in alternating current (AC) and up to 350 kW in direct current (DC). The architecture of the electric propulsion system works at 800 volts.

Unfortunately, Lotus has not wanted to detail yet the weight of each and every one of these versionshowever, we could already know that the Eletre will move over 2,000 Kg, which is a high figure to talk about a car with sports overtones, but quite tight if we take into account that we are dealing with a large electric SUV and It is endowed with a huge battery.
Available for reservation since it was presented months ago, Lotus has released the prices of the Lotus Eletre in the European market, using the German market as a reference. The most affordable Lotus Eletre will be priced at 95,990 euros. One step above will be the Eletre S with a price from 120,990 euros, culminating in the Lotus Eletre R with a price of 150,990 euros.
