2024 Range Rover Velar Revealed With New Infotainment And Starts From US$61,500 (+Images)

The Range Rover Velar is getting subtle exterior changes for the 2024 model year. So Land Rover designers haven’t played around with styling too much, as the luxury SUV It largely retains the sleek styling of the pre-renovation version.

Pivi Pro can accept wireless updates and benefits from wireless compatibility with Android Auto Y Apple Car Play, along with wireless charging in a new storage area in the center console. OTA updates to the powertrain and chassis are also planned, along with navigation maps and on-board diagnostics.

In the US, the automaker intends to sell the 2024 Range Rover Velar as a P250 base model with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The output is sent to a system all wheel drive standard via a new eight-speed automatic transmission that promises smoother gear changes.

With the P400 model you get a larger 3.0-liter inline-six mill that makes 395 hp and 405 lb-ft. This mild-hybrid powertrain also works with an eight-speed automatic setup and AWD and stores the 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack under the cargo floor in the rear.

Interior and prices

A non-leather upholstery combines wool with polyurethane textile inserts, while three new leather interiors come in Cloud, Raven Blue or Deep Garnet. To liven things up, Land Rover is installing Moonlight Chrome accents on the steering wheel, air vents and center console surrounds. On the way out, customers can now order the Velar in Metallic Varesine Blue or Premium Metallic Zadar Grey.

In Europe, the facelifted Velar is also offered as a P400e with a PHEV powertrain. It has received a battery upgrade with capacity increasing from 13.6 kWh to 19.2 kWh to cover 40 miles on the WLTP cycle on electric juice or seven more miles than before. In addition, engineers have increased the maximum charging power to 50 kW. Land Rover will also sell D200 four-cylinder and D300 six-cylinder diesel versions of the 2024 Velar in the Old Continent.

If you’re interested, already available to order in the US, the 2024 Velar starts at $61,500 for the P250 S and is followed by the P250 Dynamic SE at $63,600. If you need the six-cylinder engine, Land Rover charges $70,600 for the P400 Dynamic SE and $78,400 for the P400 Dynamic HSE.
